ORGANISATION

Our family-owned business was established in 1958 by the De Wit brothers from Hillegom. We started by transporting sand away from the dunes, shipping building materials and rolls of sod and delivering fuel oil for the horticulture sector. Throughout the years, the company has grown by leaps and bounds, and in the 1990s De Wit Transport was taken over by the son, Cees de Wit jr. We have accumulated an immense amount of expertise in the field of transport in many countries throughout Europe, which has resulted in our specialisation in France.

In 2013, we started an extra specialism – the transport of flowers and plants. In the meantime, we have succeeded in expanding this division significantly. Immediately after that, we expanded our services by adding container transport. And since 2015, we have also been driving tank containers, and we have succeeded in building a nice customer portfolio.

In 60 years’ time, we have grown into a professional transport company. Our company currently counts 230 employees, and we have a fleet of approx. 180 of our own vehicles. We are enormously proud of how much our customers appreciate us. So every day anew, we plan your transport assignments with great enthusiasm.
